MSN are to close all theirs on October 14th supposebly to counter paedophiles activities on the net

Other notables like Yahoo & AOL are not

Seems like a strange decision by MSN even if their motives seem worthwhile

The internet is the new video (with apologies to Private Eye): ten years ago the tabloids would have been printing headlines about slaveringsex fiends being inspired to commit their crimes by watching a sex film/arthouse film/horror film. The internet has taken it all to a new level. Now you can can scare your average Daily Express/Mail reader by having them imagine sex beasts lurking inside their kids' computer---just waiting to get at them.

Having said that, a lot of sick bastards are using chatrooms to get in touch with children. Some companies have their own spies monitoring chatrooms. Never having been in one, I don't know if MSN does.

If there are prying eyes i'm probably a target
Given I'm on a gaming site as a 37 year old
They can't believe I'm 37 and an astounding pin ball player
I tell them i made a mistake and I'm actually 73

Just goes to show that you should take everything on the net with a grain of salt especially all those young girlies saying they want to be my girlfriend
