Gay Bishops ?

I was brought up a Christian though I am not now , and I used to go to church every sunday until I was about 13 , and at the church over the years we had at least two members of the clergy (when looking back) that I would say were gay ,both got on really well in the comunity and were very popular with old and young alike .
My point is they were good at their job , they enjoyed the work and people felt they gave good spiritual guidance ,regardless of their sexuality.
So is there anything wrong with Gay Bishops or is it just a case of the Bible
being out of place in this modern time with its out dated view of homosexuality.
Put another way we have all enjoyed watching two girls have sex ! ....
what if one of them was a priest ? would it stop them being spiritual ?
could they continue to make films of their love making ?
why can't a person be Spiritual and Sexual ?

Joking aside, this is terrible rubbish. The church still seems to think of homosexuality as something unnatural, as if it's not capable of coming into being of its own accord the way other natural elements of our being do, which, of course, is nonsense. Their practice of treating it as if it's almost some sort of concious choice one makes about oneself (meaning no-one is really 'naturally' gay) is to infer that people are thus making the wrong choice, and that heterosexuality is the 'natural' right one. As far as I can see, the only real concious element of homosexuality is (as with heterosexuality) the acceptance of it - something very often made personally, socially, and - yes - spiritually difficult by the kind of attitudes the church still advocates.

I wouldn't say the bible is outdated but many who interpret it are
Organised Religion doesn't seem capable of changing its views probably because the evidence which says homesexuality is not by choice comes from the scientific community. As we all know there is one last crusade going on between science and religion
Seems strange to me as all of their views are based on one of the most ambiguous books ever written IMHO-the bible
cheers
