The links aren't working for me. I've heard ALS are very strict on copyright.....maybe that's why they don't work, ALS found out.

was this a trojan boot type virus?

i had one caught by my anti-virus software last night but had a number of windows open at the time and wasn't sure of it's origin.

I have no idea what you mean by a tbtv.

2 small windows opened up 1 was a terms of contract sort of thing and the other was a picture of a woman on her front holding her flaps open and a couple of buttons to accept it (the "X" in the top corner doen't work).
Also a ceefax type image appears on my desktop as a shortcut entitled AdultX along with an icon in the bottom right of the screen near my clock.

Have I opened myself upto a world of shit?

I've just switched my pc back on and had to change my homepage back to hotmail from the one that had appeared since visiting the ALS links.

that's the one!

if you have any anti-virus software, run it after updating it's virus log. if you do not have any anti-virus software installed you can scan your pc for infections via this address:

if you have ad-ware installed, run it using the smar system-scan option, to root out any registry changes such as the one changing your homepage. if you do not have ad-aware installed, you can obtain this invaluable piece of freeware here:

see for further info on this virus.

Go into your start menu, then use the search for option, type in this-: Trojan.ByteVerify
then click search, if anything comes up related to the above, delete it now.
This programme installs a dialler, and changes your homepage, it,s a pain in the arse (points from woody, for saying arse, and not ass) also get rid of the programme in your start menu by right clicking on it, it.s a aggressive little bleeder so make sure you do it right......
