well it looks like ace was right about her being murdered theres a programme on this week about it.

Just because there's a programme doesn't mean she was murdered, Steve. It just means the broadcaster is sure the Diana name will be enough to get an audience.

The only thing that might have persuaded me it was murder would have been if the post mortem had shown her pregnant. But I am supremely unconcerned about whether or not she was assassinated.

As for the woman herself, I still think it was a case of The Emperor's New Clothes: people were so dazzled by her alleged glamour that they couldn't see her as a rather uninteresting person obsessed by her own image and the world of fashion (imho). Yes, she did some good charity work, but a lot of that was tarnished by the time and effort she put into being a designer clothes horse.
