Who got this at school? I never had it on my arse, but was regularly thrashed on both hands. I DID cry the first time, but not after the stinging from then after. My brother actually asked a teacher 'Is that the best you can do?' and took another 2 on each hand for his petulance
Didn't do either of us any harm either!! Bring it back, I say!!

I got it twice...still a bit worried as i went into the deputy headmasters little black book- supposebly into boys...seriously
Once for helping to flood the Science Lab
Once for dropping firecrackers in the library from outside.....lol
Great fun
All I can say I loathe people who can't take a beating and cough up names
I agree corporal punishment is the only way some kids can be controlled
although these days many of the little shits are fighting back
cheers

My uncle always told me that if he got the cane at school, this is way back during WW1, then went home and told his parents, my grandparents, he was caned he got another seeing to with the words "that's for misbehaving in the first place!!!!!".
While on the subject of school in the 1910's I was told that another broke his leg and he was told he had to be carried to school and not stay at home. Can you imagine that happening in this day and age?

I also got it on the hand quite a few times ,really it just sting's for 20 min's.
being punched in the head by a teacher hurt alot more ! but I did deserve it
!
Anyone seen ' KES ' ?
It has one of the funnest Caning scenes , and come to think of it Brain Glover and HIS football match are some of the most realistic 70's school moments on film for me (shot in 69)

Every month and there was always the same teacher watching or as we now know perving whilst our head of upper school carried out the task.
Evil bastards !
