Meaningless, and irrelevant: most of those we remember on Poppy Day were also anti-war: nevertheless they went and fought.
And died.

At least all monies raised go to the cause they are meant too and not gobbled up by admin charges.
We should remember the debt they paid to their country in this small gesture

Negative? not at all. I am a big supporter of Poppy Day. The whole event is broadly anti-war; always has been.
What I object to is the highjacking of it by a single-issue subset with their own narrower agenda.
Red poppies are fine: no need for white, pink or puce ones.
