Don't know how much publicity there is yet in the UK for the world premiere of The Return of the King. As you can guess its pretty much headline stuff here in NZ. Have a look at

In between the premiere on Dec. 1st and the 1st public screening on Dec. 18th, the Embassy Theatre is screening the extended versions of The Fellowship and The Two Towers for a week each, culminating on the 17th with: 3.00pm Fellowship
7.30pm The Two Towers immediately followed by, at 12.01am on the 18th The Return of the King.

It's understandable, Mart. And I'm sure the tourist board would be willing to give Peter Jackson anything he wants. It's certainly put the place on the map.

Aren't we forgetting those 2 epic TV series made in New Zealand

Hercules & Xena

Apparently now gays all around the world are aware of New Zealand
and the rest of us simpletons think the Capital of NZ is Hobbiton and that big ugly country next door is Mordor

Mordor: if by 'next door' you mean across the Pacific rather than the Tasman, many people would think you were right...............
And I'd certainly consider a jourmey of 12 000 miles+ if Lucy Lawless were at the end of it.
