Wasn't this the case where the complainant then refused to give evidence followed (surprise, surprise) by a big out-of-court settlement.
That's why the authorities are saying the same thing won't happen this time round.

I might be wrong, but I think they approached the Cops with this, but for some reason (lack of hard evidence?) it didn't reach court. They then planned a civil action, that's when MJ settled out of court.

ok so call me pedantic and i kno its not strictly relevant but...."michael went to rent a wreck to rent a car because his had broken down" WTF ?! michael jackson only has/had one car in 1993 ?! and even if he did surely hed buy a second one and a third rather than go to a renting place - he doesnt go newhere in public like that!
