I,m philisophical (sp) about the price of petrol Magg,s, supermarkets used to be cheap, and motorways always ripped you off, but what can you do, I only get around 15 mpg to the gall, or 25 mpg on the M, way, the price is set really by the Gov, with tax taking up most of it, if it wasn,t for that, we would be able to water the garden with it. I toyed with the idea of getting a diesel motor, but couldn,t be arsed......and I claim it back anyway against tax, I guess if I was that bothered I would buy a lot cheaper car, but I love BM,s
Note to Bimmercat! the use of the phrase 'Bimmer' or Beemer to depict a BMW is sacrilage, and no English Gentleman worth his salt would stoop to such vulgar language!, but bmwcat, doesn,t quite have the same ring, so your excused.......

15 mpg ?! wtf do u drive liz ? oh a bmw...bit expensive and how come u get more on the mway , higher speeds usually are more thirsty..jeez i thought my 35-40mpg was bad.
anyway just so u kno supermarkets add something to their petrols to pad it out a bit and some ppl have reported problems with it, especially with lawn mowers (which is how i found out)....so its lesss pure....and its 75.9 at safeways and shell around here

In Australia we've got petrol for about 40p
Want me to send you a tanker?
Seriously its not about where you buy it...the only exception to this rule is if there is still an independent operator who's playing the renegade...we've got 1 in all of Adelaide
Its when you buy it...something to do with the Oil Companies and a weekly discount that they provide for some reason
Tuesday or wednesday seem to be the days Downunder
Just pick a service station and keep tabs on the prices for a couple of weeks
you'll see what I mean
cheers

I have the 3.0 litre version X5, it,s enough for me, couldn,t afford the bigger one, dont ask me anything technical about it, I just drive it! and clean the ashtray once a month (thanks to Ms Lizard), I saw one of those BMW scooter things yesterday in Manchester, they are all covered in! whats the point there? you may as well buy a little car, the person driving it looked a real Div! (twat) in Manc speak.....

Bimmer, dont be so defensive about your country! I love the states and all things american, I would live there tomorrow if I didn,t have commitments here. But as things are at the moment the USA is seen to be the 'agressor' but then so are we, it,s all war and politics and should be avoided at all cost.
ps of course Bush is still a meathead! lol..............

ID, Safeway can be cheaper sometimes, I have seen where you buy a certain amount of food, and get summat of your petrol, but I couldn,t ever be arsed doin that, like those people who queue up on budget day outside petrol stations, just to save 35 pence or whatever, before the price goes up 1p a litre, how sad is that. I am sure if your bargain hunting Tesco would probably be the cheapest, I dont know about London, I dont want to!
