i've received this call about half-a-dozen times now. i haven't been suckered by it but what's really annoying is that threre's no one at the other end to hurl abuse at for wasting your time.

i get an average of about 9-12 cold-calls a week, offering me everything from a new kitchen (thank you but i have a microwave), to new windows (thank you but i bricked them up last year), to life insurance (thank you but i don't have a life), and so on... add to this, endless cheery offers to waste 10mins of my life partaking in some idiotic lifestyle survey and i can definitely feel a peter finch moment coming on.

forget about spam - cold-calling is the true bane of the modern era. and they always ring up when i'm eating! >:-(

Yep, it's getting to the point where I'm almost frightened to answer the phone between 0700 and 2000- have arranged a 'ring code' with friends so I know it's them.
Wasn't there some sort of site where you can get 'off-listed'? Or is that for junk-mail only?
