But you just know Michael Stype would of sung so much better, instead of some amateur trying to sound like Stype. Jules? vocals sound rushed in places and a little weak.

?Jules vocals sound rushed in places?
hi wait a second Boo2 have you not heard the original song?? this version is a lot slower and all the vocals are crystal clear, basically a good song made great with no gimmicks added, not often in this day and age any artist can pull that off, or is even given the chance to.
well done Jules!!

I wasn?t comparing it to the original. It doesn?t matter how much slower you make a track, you can still be out with the timing. It?s like he hasn?t enough confidence in his own voice, so he hurries ever so slightly in just a few places. His voice is emotionally weak, drab. In comparison. Stype sings every word like it?s been ripped from his heart.

Releasing a cover version just before Xmas, is about as gimmicky as you can get. The concept is very good, but the execution leaves a little to be desired. I just can?t listen to it without thinking how much better Stype would have done it. I hope Tears For Fears get their share, and I don?t think you?ll be hearing much from Jules in the future.

Credit to Donny Darko director Mr Kelly for suggesting just a voice and piano version. The soundtrack on that film was stonking.
If Tears For Fears want any more recognition, they could do a lot worse than rerelease Head Over Heels which alos featured in the movie. By the way, whatever happened to Curt Smith. I know that Jose-Maria carried on alone for an album or two before his golf career took off, but where did Curt vanish to?
