Don't know if anyone can help, Downloader.Trojan viruses are on my computer (2 of them) but cannot get rid of them. I have Norton antivirus but can't quaratine or delete them, have been to symantec site, but still can't delete them, have also done a search and have been to a number of site etc but still no joy- HELP anyone?

These are a fucking nightmare - very difficult to get rid of.

Try Winpatrol - but you need to buy the full version and then use it to track down and de-activate the offending programs from your start-up.

Hi European, well they are both the same, under item they are called :
loader.exe and the virus name is Downloader.Trojan

Any help will be most appreciated

Hi Deuce, thanks for the reply, yes I have carried out the action in the link, but still no luck

Richie, have u tried doing a search on your puter for both these files/folders? if you do and they show up, whilst you have them in the search box, press.... cont/alt/del to bring up the task manager, and end the running process of them, then delete them, also if using xp, turn off system restore before u do it, then re start, sorry if you have already tried this, but it should work!

Searching under "removing Downloader.trojan" in Google found a
number of sites giving help.
