Jpeg/Pic help

I am trying to take two pictures(Jpegs) and merge them into one picture. How do I do this? I do have Paint Shop Pro but can't figure it out.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There are programs that allow you to make panoramas out of a succession of pictures of a landscape, but I think they work by identifying common parts of the different pictures. I am not aware of any software that would allow you to merge two completely different pictures.
Why do you want to do it? Can't you just place the two pictures side by side, or scan two pictures together?
