As I recall from my AOL days I think I had this a few times myself. The error message as you probably know means that AOL lost your connection for whatever reason and that had the knock on effect on your Ebay and BGAFD loadings. Youre back online now so it was probably just a one off although there are connection reset bugs out there......

Are you sure it wasn't a remote ghost? Conjured up by the discussion up the street.

Your ISP sucks in short

Thats assuming you haven't been hijacked
AOL are notorious for downtime...just read the techy forums

My ISP occasioanlly gives me grief when I dial-up and get 33000k instead of 50000k...freezes or runs so slow you could give birth while waiting

Usually just takes a restart and its like nothing was ever wrong

Freeserve disconnects me every 2 hours to free up their servers. Sometimes I get Page Not Found just prior to disconnection...

I agree Buttsie, AOHELL, is crap, imho. It jams your computer with rubbish, restricts access sometimes, and is a nightmare to get rid of............you can overide the freeserve cut off, by using auto redial in windows outlook express, I used to do this often when d/loading movies and such, which u need if your a 56ker like wot I am.

I've always been suspicious of businesses offering plans that include the first & fourth months free of charge with almost unlimited everything
Seems to good to be true

IMHO they are going to be far too popular and henceforth theres no guarantee that you won't get a substandard reception when dialing up

Sometimes cheapest isn't the best

I've heard AOL likes to send & receive info from your computer,
has been named along with Real Player/Real One Player as one of the worst on the spywareinfo forum.A firewall usually stops this in its tracks but then that seems to also play up with the AOL connection so I've been told
