Watch the vultures fight over this one! it just shows the sheer greed and double dealing in footy today, the players offer to cut thier wage by some 20 percent, big deal, when your earning ?25,000 a week, still leaving you ?20.000, ah! poor lambs how will they manage, the real vultures have flown the nest, and the real fans left to pick up the pieces.
Football today makes me puke.
If everyone who subscribes to Sky-stopped subscribing, maybe it would return to the real game it was, instead of the gravy train for ex-player/managers/agents to exploit.

The double dealing has always been there Lizard
Its a vicious circle which ever way you look at it
Everybody from Management,Players & the fans need to wake up to themselves
Fans demand success(which seems to mean one thing-Trophies) and call for blood when its not delivered
To deliver Management gamble by spending money they don't have in the attempt.....you only need look at premier teams that get relegated or don't make Europe...I'd say if Leeds go down they'll go to the wall unless someone buys them for a song
So who's to blame...all of the above
I'd say just being a club who's existence isn't in peril from financial bankruptcy should be enough these days
cheers

Is Robbie Fowler taking a cut in the ?10,000 a week Leeds are paying him to play for Man City?

I did read Man City want that cash, regardless of Leeds plight which IS fair IMO as it was decided well before-hand.
Not that Fowler is worth it these past 2 seasons

How on earth do the financial institutions allow such a debt to pile up?. If that was an ordinary citizen they would harried from pillar to post for a few hundred pounds.

What about that case that's on at present? People working in the financial (so called) industry not even noticing that large amounts of money were missing from their own bank accounts.

A Pile of lies Mart and even if the boys at the top didn't know
ignorance is no defence just ask board members on failed companies
If the currency bet had come off they'd be patting each other on the back
but as the it went tits up they're all claimimg ignorance
Curency trading is nothing but a calculated gamble
Why do the banks allow a Leeds to happen....its good money making business deal for them
They make a fortune from interest payments and even if Leeds go bankrupt
the Banks will most likely just sell all the assets ...the players, the clubs grounds-if they own them etc
The only losers in all this are the fans...there football Club might not exist unless a rich benefactor steps in to save the day.

Don't think we are on the same case Deuce. I'm talking about a woman who fiddled ie. transferred large amounts of money from her boss's accounts.

I see
Plenty of cases of employees abusing trust...usually down to some form of addiction...drugs,gambling,lifestyle,greed
Given how complex accounting can be its not that hard to hide fraud
in the books.
Catching fraud out really means you need to have real checks & balances in place.Regular auditing is the key.Where this doesn't occur is where your likley to see fraud

I'm not talking about sophisticated fraud Deuce. The woman had access to her boss's personal bank accounts and transferred large amounts of money out. She did it to other very highly paid employees too. It was quite a while before any of them spotted it.
I check my bank statement every month when I get it, and keep a running tally in my diary. But I don't have millions so I suppose its easier for me.
