Is he still playing/recording? The Stranglers, albeit without Hugh, are touring soon with a new album in the pipeline. I think I'll go and see them, they were pretty impressive at a festival gig I saw last year but I'd like to see their own show to get a better idea of the modern day Stranglers.

However old Hugh may be that drummer bloke in the Stranglers is much, much older!!

Did somebody mention my name ????.....LOL

As Ace says a topic very close to my heart.

The boys have a new album out next week "Norfolk Coast" and spanking it is too.

For up the minute info visit the "Rats Lair" SIS.

Hugh is still going strong and he is headlining a day at the Punk Aid festival
in 3 weeks time.

I wish they would reform to the original line up, but having read Hugh's book, there is more chance of hell freezing over.....Shame.

Cheers CC.

Why no reform then? I thought off-stage they were bloody good mates, although Hughs bombshell of announcing he was quitting after a Hammersmith gig (correct me if Im wrong, Chris) really must have pissed the band off.
Was Jet Black an ice-cream man or did he use an ice cream van to transport equipment to gigs?

Good when a band DOESN'T reform, leaving fans with endering memories of what they WERE like instead of greedy cunts. You can certainly add The Clash to the VERY SMALL list of bands who wouldn't reform. Even for the Dali Lama!!
