Have tried a couple of mpegs and they all worked and all had sound unprecedented.Mainly Yanks but then when its free I'm not complaining

I'm having real problems with these. The Windows Media Player window opens but either nothing happens or I get an 'unable to download compressor' notice followed by just the soundtrack playing. I've got loads of other mpegs and they all work fine so what the feck's going on? I'll send some of my mpegs to anyone who can fix put me right!

Actually the message is "suitable decompressor not found". And that's when I try to open them after having saved them.

Just above the pics it says download DivX compressor. That's what you'll need. It's like WMP but plays other things as well.

If he's already been able to play mpegs then you'd think he's already got it right but maybe its a newer codec or a different one.

By the way I have already emailed him to say update your codec decompressor at
