Rude posters.

No, I don't mean those big sheets of paper with pics of girls in bras.
I'm referring to some of the people, especially on newsgroups, who can't refrain from flame wars. What a courteous lot we are by comparison.
Mind you, I've never seen the contentious subject of yEnc raised on this forum.

You got to remember Mart not all posters are in control of their faculties especially when imbibing the amber liquid
I agree there are those that even when in control get a kick out of winding people up

Windup merchants I can understand, trolls only partially, but posters who go out of their way to be rude, obnoxious, intolerant and generally bloody-minded get my goat.
I've just been flamed on a newsgroup, not so much because I had the temerity to criticize someones general attitude but because I didn't observe "etiquette" (meaning "netiquette") by regurgitating every previous post in the thread. I find it amazing that in an environment where yEnc is constantly being sold as a great saver of bandwidth, "netiquette" still seems to dictate that posts get bigger and bigger.
Thank God (or the Mods - the same thing) that this forum doesn't get conducted in that manner.

On at least two newsgroups specific to Australia ( HiFi and General ) there are two guys who must spend all day writing abusive responses to virtually every poster.
One claims to have his own thriving HiFi business and is far too busy to bother with the morons who ask any questions, while the other claims to know where 40 million tons of gold is buried, but would rather spend all day calling everyone else a stupid cunt than go and dig up a few billion dollars worth of his gold find !
Anyway, gotta go, NASA want to test fly their new rocket so I haven't go time to waste on you lot.
