"If this IS true...where did this group get the chemical weapons? Might they have come from Iraq?"

Well they might have come from the UK, they might have come from many places. Iraq is pretty low on the list of possibilities as its chemical stocks had totally degraded.

You'd better pray that this is the case - because if Iraq did have WMDs they aren't there now. So either they never existed or the result of the war has been to transfer ownership from a brutal but entirely contained dictator to the hands of various unknown and untraceable terror groups.

"And even if not, doesn't it prove out the belief that terrorists must be stopped from getting WMDs"

Agree totally - so why waste time and resources invading Iraq - a country with no WMDs and which was ideallogically opposed to Al-Q and other Islamic fundamentalists?

The invasion of Iraq has nothing to do with the fight against extremist Islamic terror groups. The fact that those groups may now be in the turmoil of Iraq taking potshots at our soldiers is a result of the war - it was hardly planned that way.

In what way of Al-Q been damaged by the ousting of Saddam?

I remember before the start of the Iraq war myself and mart had a 'disagreement' with bimmercat over whether it was productive.

Well it's been a fairly long time now. And if I remember me and mart were arguing that the war was for oil and not for world peace. I'm a fairly modest guy, but I knew I was right on this one bimmercat.

Bimmercat my advice for your American ass is to get a get a couple of brain cells together and have a think. Are you really that naive and stupid to believe it wasn't for oil? Thank god we in the UK are not the 51st state otherwise we all might have your level of 'intellect'!

P.s. did you vote for George W Bush?

'Why did Saddam defy the UN inspectors and not cooperate when he KNEW the US was going to send in troops and oust him in a matter of weeks?'

Because he is stupid and arrogant and thought himself invulnerable.

'Why would one president risk his image, career, and possibly censureship/impeachment/jailtime/fines for a phony war that was so poorly put together?'

Because he is stupid and arrogant and thinks himself invulnerable.

The Bush administration was sure he had WMD. They told us so... it was based on intelligence gathering.

Are you now saying that the very same intelligence gathering organisations that were so good at finding evidence of WMD suddenly were unable to see it being moved???

"Hey Guys!!! Look WMD.... oh, no.... where's it gone? One minute it was there and now.... !!!!"

Bimmercat, have you ever thought of becoming a stand up comedian? You are SO fucking funny!!!!
