on the subject of the 'gay pirate', it's the nickname I got at Galaxy publications, due to my rather over-the-top holiday clothing (skull & cross bones bandana, baggy brightly coloured gym training bottoms, ripped shirt etc. etc.)
Needless to say they ran the pictures in on of the features I did for them and the nickname stuck!
