ah crap this is annoying me, ill prob barely be able to type this because for some reason my computer keeps dragging the "cursor" to the left...its not the cursor tho its the little flashing | that flashes when you type and dictates where the letters appear, it drags to the left and fucks up everything!. On the desktop it will move to the left of the screen jumping from one prog to another (to the left) and even effectively clicks "back" on an internet page...the same as typing left i spose...its doing it now, anyone know anytthing about it ???? pleasehelp i dont know how to do a good google search on this one as i keep thinking of a cursor and its not a bloody cursor!! ..

Sounds like a nasty little annoying virus.
Try the obvious first and run your virus & trojan killer.
It may be a playful little bastard.
Check your arrow key isn't having a fit. Maybe some grit is lodged in....it's a long shot but you never know!
Clean your mouse....again, a long shot.

Otherwise it's a case of downloading and scanning with Hijack This and posting your log on their site.

thanks for your response Holden, i dunno if u remember but i spilt drink on my laptop keyboard a while back and it ruined a load of keys. it wasnt an issue beause i had a keypad that goes into the side of my comp which had all the keys. I think the left arrow key is just playing up. Annoying but probably will eventually pass? its been ok for afew months now so hopefully will work out ok, unless neone knows of a way to switch off the key or ruin it completely...i think i mightve just done it with a pair of nail clippers lol

Well if it's as simple as that, seperate the casing from the keypad and clean the membrane out with meths or something similar.
It could just be a sticky patch on the membrane.

Well the tops have been off all those broken keys for ages and they leave the lil plastic springy thing with air inside. I ripped it open for that key and i havent had any trouble since. Thanks for your contributions guys

oh btw - the keys were fucked anyway, it makes no difference that i did that as the laptop is going to be used until it dies ....whenever that may be

Most of the keys are missing and it sits on blocks.

Put clingfilm over the keyboard, stops precious bodily fluids from gumming up the works.....lol
