This English Season of soccer has seen 3 MEGA teams dominate

Wether thats due to their sublind finances or good selections in their squads is debatable

I pose the question...is the EPL the best league in the World or is it comprised of 3 World Class Squads and 17 all so rans?

Isn't it ironic that just as Aston Villa is heading for Europe Leeds is being relegated...short sighted stupid management IMHO

Just because you spend squillions doesn't mean your going to win trophies
Just ask Kevin Keegan at Man U

cheers

I would have to say the Spanish League is far superior at the moment Buttsie, both in competitive terms and for sheer entertainment, the Italian League has went sadly downhill over the last 5 or so years, due largely to bad management, corruption and lack of money, when you think 5 years ago anybody who was anybody wanted to test themselves in Serie A but not now it seems.

Perhaps, as many reckon, there's an over-emphasis on the championship league; a money thing - one that has rendered the premiership as nothing more than a golden ticket to a much greater gravy train rather than a prize in itself.

But you've got a point about the also-rans. Should one of the diamond trio falter (Manure, we hope) then I don't see many lining up to take over (subtext: Liverpool, fer christ's sake shape yerself.)

Yes it is sad that finishing third or fourth in your own league should be seen as a means of success by most teams, basically the gravy train will never stop for the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal because it will be a long time coming before they are finishing out of the top 4, but the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle etc, that is all they seem to strive for now finish in the top 4 and entry into the Champions League and a guaranteed ?15 million for starters, money and greed will eventually ruin the basics of football that most of us hold true which is a bloody shame.
