Policeman arrested driving in fishnet tights

MONDAY , 10 MAY 2004

PARIS: A French policeman faces trial in a police court for driving under the influence after he was stopped at the wheel of his car drunk and wearing only a pair of fishnet tights, a prosecutor says.

The man admitted he was a part-time prostitute after fellow police chased him through the Bois de Boulogne, a wooded area on the outskirts of Paris reputed as a nighttime hangout of transsexual prostitutes, in the early hours of last Thursday.

The policeman said he needed the extra income. If convicted, he could lose his driver's licence and be fined.

Prosecutors said on Friday there was not enough evidence to try him for passive soliciting, which is punishable by prison in France.

It doesn't say whether he would remain in the police force. Perhaps he'll be transferred to the vice squad.

At the least they should make him an honorary WPC, then he won't have to endure all the piss-takes while he's putting on his make-up in the Gents..

If only the British police spent more time in fishnets and less on speed cameras .

I don't care what they wear, I just want them out on the streets doing their job instead of sitting in the fucking canteen, insulting blacks and women.

You fail to understand, Mart. The honest, salt of the earth, foot to the metal driver is being persecuted by naughty PC Plod who thinks he's preventing them running over slow-moving groups of nuns. Some laws, such as the speed "suggestions," are obviously there to be ignored.

Once we've legalised drugs abd done away with 50% of all crime, let's ban motoring and do away with the other 50%.

If we can then kill all the politicians, shonky lawyers, 'celebs' and estate-agents, we'll finally have achieved Utopia.
