Okay, who's hijacked S56's identity and trying to make him seem stranger than he is?

Steve, strange?

".. Go and catch a falling star/Get with child a mandrake root/Tell me
where all past years are/Or who cleft the devil's foot . . ."
Stranger?

Whatever happened to Steve Strange? Wasn't he from Newport, Mon? That would make anyone strange, neither fish nor fowl.

I think he's now known as Norma Normal, or Reg Regular on Sundays, and working as a quantity surveyor in Llanwern.
He's done a lot of surveying, but he hasn't found any yet, AFAIK.
Maybe there just aren't any quantites in Mon, or Monmouthsire, or Gwent, as you prefer.

Or were you asking in a Scottish accent, if he was from just any old Newport, the 'mon, being 'man', only in Scots?

Ah, yes, I see.
Do a lot of Jamaicans want to know about Newport, then?
And if so, why? Is it a good place to buy ganja, or those silly garish floppy hats?
Or ackee? Laver bread's a bit like ackee, only different.
I assume you can get laver in Newport, it's not too far from the sea. But Newport IOW's even nearer.
