Well if he was aiming for them when he kicked them I imagine he is worth the transfer fee .
I always hated Don Revie , I've been meaning to share that with you.

Shame was praying every night he would end up at Man City (no cash alas)
Great player and, though we hate them (us blues anyway), deserves to play for a top flight team like United

Look forward to seeing Fergusons reaction when
Alan 'I love Red Cards' Smith gets sent off for the first time

If he had a brain to go with the talent he might be a half decent player

All that Peroxide(or is he a natural) can't be a good thing either way

cheers

I'm still trying to work out why he's been bought.

Indeed...mabye ferguson is jealous of Chelsea having 4 World Class Strikers
personally I think Smith is there in case that babyface Norwegian has another awful season

A liken it to Arsenal buying Jeffers from Everton...purely insurance with an eye for the future...if it all goes sour they just sell them on or as these Big clubs do loan them out if they become surplus to requirements...ala Chelsea with Forsell if memory serves me correctly

cheers

'purely insurance with an eye for the future...'

Could be right there DB. He's young and English. So a bit of a rarity. I can see him playing in an attacking midfield role. And hopefully not kicking everything in sight.

He's got the temperament of Roy keane for mine....volatile & stupid at worst

Still if past years at Man U are anything to go by he's got next year to prove himself

The Man U conglomeration doens't seem to give the youngsters time to really develop like they did with scholes, butt, giggs, beckham, the neville brothers back in the early nineties

Very strange...a wiining formula you would have thought...obviously cheaper to let the smaller clubs train & get them match hardened then swoop mid-season and buy them-bloody disgraceful in my book

The EPL has all the hallmarks of big business and not sport for mystifying rules like these

Fulham with that french sensation Louis Saha might well have made it into Europe at the expense of Liverpool or Newcastle...we will never know

cheers

"these Big clubs do loan them out if they become surplus to requirements...ala Chelsea with Forsell"

Indeed, and who was Chelsea's leading scorere last season - Forsell (on loan at Birmingham!)

Not one of Rainieri's better decisions.

I think he's there mainly as cover for Ruud and Saha, when they get injured they look a bit light up front (Ole doesn't seem the same after that injury and Sally Gunnell is shite).
I read a report in the Times that Fergie was worried that Man U had got a bit soft now Keanes a bit old and slow
