Classic Albums

There have been a couple of series of this programme---including obvious ones such as Dark Side Of The Moon, Electric Ladyland and one album I hadn't heard but bought on the strength of the show---and haven't regretted purchasing---the eponymous The Band. But what would forumites choose as their five, by different artists, not already featured (yes, Ace, I know you're going to go for London Calling).

For what it's worth, I'd opt for (in no particular order):

Ziggy Stardust---Bowie
Out Of Time---REM
Harvest---Neil Young
Steve McQueen---Prefab Sprout
The Hounds Of Love---Kate Bush

And wish I could choose at least another 20.

"The Wall" - Pink Floyd
"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" - Black Sabbath, plus everything else they ever recorded!

"Moving Pictures" - Rush
"Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie " - Alanis Morrisette (Her criminally under-rated masterpiece)
"The Dreaming" - Kate Bush (Ditto)
"The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" - Genesis
PG3 - Peter Gabriel...and I could go on all bloody day but I'm off to see the man himself on Wembley. Sixth row.....result!!

What a nightmare. I've got those bad boys on vinyl, cds and remasters of the remasters so if you need a spare...I'm your man! I can't see a chap go without his Sabbath!
