Just like to say a big thanks to members on this board who have helped out in the past................... my problem is that my PC freezes regular every 4 mins . No matter what Im doing ie browsing on the internet , watching a mpeg or playing a sound file my PC just freezes and then unlocks. I recently got infected with a nasty Trojian that had rendered CWShredder useless and I had to upload it again. . I managed to clear the problem up by running a hijackthis report but now I have this problem. Ever so often when my PC freezes and I try clearing it my hard drive makes a buzzzing sound.................can anyone supply some advice or know of a forum where people may have a clue?

Many thanks for your help

If the guys at couldn't help you fix it thoroughly with the hijack this log you are in deep shit

Just out of interest I assume you've run the removal tool at
for that particular anti-spyware trojan..theres a few other removal tools available as well which to 2 programs below might miss

Any other nasties should be picked up by ad-aware or spybot
available at half way down

cheers

As you keep freezing every 4 minutes all I can suggest is posting your problem on another forum like

Even though the boys at spyware have declared your computer clean
after having run the removal tool I'd still be running adaware & spybot if you haven't already done so and checking your start-up(start/run/MSCONFIG-far right) list of programs

Removal tools have a nasty habit of leaving stuff behind
especially in the start up menu in my experience for some unexplained reason

Ones like task monitor & scheduling agent might be the culprit
Windows Update is another that secretly sets itself up to check regularly and then you have nasties like real.com

Just a matter of unticking them re-booting and seeing what happens

All I run with in my start-up is Load Power Profile x 2
