Anyone here seen em live? they are fantastic! just checked out there website. aussiefloyd.com (sorry dunno how to make it clickable) they are releasing a live dvd soon, well worth checking out! I saw them at the Wycombe Swan theatre in 1994, they done an almost 3hr show, and played superb versions of my faves "Dogs" and "Comfortably Numb", did have a video of the show but some schlag nicked it.

They were one of the first tribute bands I ever saw and they were the bollocks, brilliant stuff. Another cracker is "Limehouse Lizzy" who do a blinding set of Thin Lizzy material and the singer/bass player looks a fair bit like Phil Lynott and plays a black Fender bass with the mirrored scratchplate just like Phil did. In fact there were a few times during the gig I almost forgot I wasn't watching the real Thin Lizzy as they were that bloody good.
"Re-Genesis" are a Genesis tribute band who do just the Peter Gabriel era stuff and are a bloody good laugh as well as being musically entertaining. They even have versions of the outfits and masks PG used to wear!

I just checked on the 'net and there is a site for the band at
www.limehouselizzy.co.uk and it looks like they are still going strong. You're going to love this....at the mo' they appear to be doing a tour based on the "Live and Dangerous" album!!
They were seriously shithot when I saw them and I thought they were as good in their own way as the Australian Pink Floyd and with the singer's resemblance to Phil Lynott it adds to the experience. The day after I saw Limehouse Lizzy I went out and bought all the Thin Lizzy albums I didn't already have on CD...I was THAT impressed. It's kind of ironic that a tribute band almost gets you into the REAL band although I was a Lizzy fan anyway.
On the subject of Pink Floyd tribute bands a mate of mine has seen a couple of other bands called Think Floyd and Pink Fraud and rates them too.

In response to Photo-Taker's comments I agree that while the Australian Pink Floyd are a fantastic band nothing can compare to the incredible experience that is a Pink Floyd show. Sadly I never saw them with Roger Waters as I was too young but I saw them at Wembley Stadium in '87, Docklands Arena in '88, Knebworth in '90 and Earl's Court in '94. I was obsessed enough and somehow rich enough to see multiple shows at the venues too! I saw Roger Waters in '87 at Wembley and had front row seats, dead centre...it was fucking mind-blowing.
Aside from the music and incredible, soulful playing it is the sheer "Event" that helps make a Pink Floyd gig something really, really special. At Earl's Court in '94 the whole arena, even the entrance hall, was decorated with Pink Floyd banners and the huge steel heads from the Division Bell album cover were on top of the arena with searchlights crisscrossing the night sky. The show begun before you'd even entered the hall! Hell even the tickets were like works of art!
They were a band unlike any other and I dearly hope we will get to see them play again.
