not all of the pics are ripped off, John sells his stuff to several content suppliers on the web. scarlett.net & paulmarkham.com are just 2 of the sites that market his stuff.

true, but if my stuff was sold, instead of being ripped off, both Sue at Scarlet and Paul would have retired on the profits by now!

not true, many photographers sell their pics to content providers for next to nothing and the content providers sell it on for a modest profit. this is exhausted material which has been sold so many times that no magazine editor in the world will touch it.

money is made in volume sales, as the web content sites have a large selection of material from a variety of photographers back catalogues. your own site has a section for selling content to webmasters.

having said that, with your material in such large circulation, what with you selling it to all and sundry, piracy will inevitably occur.

i don't know who sue or paul are, but they are obviously still in business from selling content including yours.
