Christ, if I hear him purr with delight next time Rooney gets the ball, I'll switch over. His commentary used to be very good, but he brown noses so much over some players these days, its embarrasing.
And when Owen missed a 'sitter' Motty said, 'oh dear, what a pity' whereas you just KNOW maniac screaming commentator Jonathan Pierce (C5) would have screamed, 'Owen you fucking slag.........you can't hit a cows arse with a banjo these days!!'

On the whole I've prefered the BBC coverage to ITV's... Motty is loosing it a bit now, but he's still better than Clive Tyldesley and Linekar is a better anchorman than Lynam.

The three ex-England managers are crap pundits... SBR is going gaga, Turniphead should never have managed a team higher than the Conference he knows so little about the game and Venables might be interesting... if only he spoke English instead of cockneywideboy!!!

I like Gaby Logan (for fucks sake... even SHE knows more about football than Graham Taylor), Robbie Earle and Andy Townsend. The rest of ITV sucks... especially half time which is 3 minutes of chat and 12 minutes of ads!!

They've got to make ad-time, not having shown any for 45 minutes or so.

I particularly love the way they stay for the national anthems, then bugger off for more ads. ITV is utter pants---and that's on a good night!

Robbie Earle is an excellent pundit and's wasted on the ITV, surprised the BBC haven't poached him.

Sir Bobby does get a little confused at times, but for what he did at my beloved Ipswich he'll always be a hero.
