Hey Bimmer, I never said I liked the film!
For what it's worth the respected Roger Ebert gave it three-and-a-half stars out of four in the Chicago Sun-Times, but in his review freely admitted that his politics were in line with Moore.
I will be going to see the film, but will have my eyes wide open (always finds that helps).
Moore is very good at what he does: argues complex issues with simplistic points and selective facts.
It makes for good entertainment and gets people thinking about the world we live in. That's not a bad thing.
Apparently, the best part of the film centres on when Bush is told of the second plane hitting the WTC on 9/11 - and then carries on reading a book to those schoolchildren. For seven minutes.

"I don't think anyone could have handled it better," Tose'-Rigell told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in a story published Wednesday. "What would it have served if he had jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room?"
But don't you think presidents should jump out of their chairs and maybe do SOMETHING when they've just been told their country's under attack from terrorists?
Hey Bimmer, I'm English and have only lived in America for three months. I'm not a citizen and can't vote.
I like Moore's films because they're entertaining. I don't hate Bush, but equally he hasn't exactly been the best president ever has he?
3,000 American civillians killed and the Land of the Free is STILL considered the bad guy? That takes some doing.

As what Bimmercat would call a Limey, I REALLY enjoyed Bowling For Columbine because it showed how hypocritical the Yanks are.
Against abortion but produce porn
Ban EU products because it might hurt Dubya`s re-election prospects but dump products everywhere.
This is from a limey who supported the Iraq invasion but hwo is now getting seriously pissed off

I take no sides on this issues, except to state that I certainly would call Christopher Hitchens 'conservative and right wing'. You evidently don't know him.
