the tv series are very good, however the books by reginald hill can be very hard work, unless you're into greek literature, lots of references to it that are hard to follow!

Don't forget he was also in A Clockwork Orange.

There are some actors/actresses that if I see their name on the cast list I'll watch the film/play knowing I'm unlikely to be disapointed... Warren Clarke is one of those. Others include John Cussak, Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, Susan Sarandon and Angelica Huston.

Firstly it wasn't an exclusive list... just some examples.

Secondly, if you look closely, you'll see that DeNiro is listed!

Thirdly, Duvall has been in some crap films as well as good films (I'm thinking of the one with the meteorite and landing a shuttle on it to blow it up... such a crap film I don't even want to be reminded of the name, let alone reminded that I watched it!)

Donald Sutherland has also been in both good and crap films, so again, like Duvall, can't be 100% relied upon.

None of those I listed has ever appeared in a crap film!

Here endeth the lesson. :o)

The TV progs are good , and better than Frost the characters are more believable , less perfect . But you should read the books where you can see into his mind , ace!
