I was fortunate to be at Wembley that day with my then wife... It started off great, but to be honest, by the end, so much had happened and so much had been smoked and drunk I can't honestly remember.
A few years ago I got the tape of the show and thinking things like "I don't remember them being there!" whilst viewing some of the acts that appeared toward the end.

I moved house (after my marriage break up) on that day. Housewarming party that night, I don't remember much of it....lol
Anyway, that's nearly 20 years ago.

I was there. VIP ticket in the area where a lot of the performers' families were so a few pop stars and comedians of the day where around.
It was a great concert. Where else could you have so many of the top bands of the time in one place in one time. The vibe was fantastic. Everyone was there to have a good time.

I remember it well although I was a mere teen at the time. Stand-out moments for me were a mighty performance by Queen with Freddie Mercury delivering the performance of a lifetime and U2 being fantastic too. I remember Bowie turning in a great set and I stayed until about 3AM to catch a clip from the US show of the original Black Sabbath line-up which had reformed for the gig. There were a lot of great performances and a few clangers too but in the spirit of the day I don't think anyone minded the less polished performances.

I used to have it all on tape. Highlights for me were my first introduction to INXS (part of Australian link), U2 were awesome as were Queen, Clapton, Zep (even with sound problems), Neil Young and Jagger. Duran Duran, Madonna and Dylan were awful.
