There are bigoted arseholes in every country. Much as I'd like to say that's not typical of the Scottish people, it's typical of a type of Scot. Anyone who treats a kid like that isn't worth knowing. Religion, politics---they're just old excuses to point the finger at others.
The MB refers to an alleged singer, formerly with the worst haircut in popdom (and that's saying a lot), that Buttsie mentioned in his post. One of those, with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey and Celine Dion, whose "music" is piped eternally through the sound system of Hell.
