I was thinking today, what is the point of them, I mean, you cant even see them when there underwater, seems like a total waste of taxpayers money to me!which would be better spent on cheaper drugs, and more pubs and restaraunts etc!, I dont know! there are some real eejuts in charge of this Country!
Right!, I,ll go and have a cuppa!

WHAT submarines? There aren't any.
We pay all that money and never see owt for it, they REALLY spend it all on cigars and comics, they're havin' a laugh at our expense, they've got a studio at Elstree where they fake all that News footage, or they borrow a real one off the Yanks when people ask to see proof that we have an ocean-going noocyoolar deterrent, you go into a caff and ask for a submarine and see what yer get, bet it won't be full of seamen, not unless Gladys has had another of her 'accidents', AND they won't charge you 6 million quid, not unless the caff yer in is the Caff Royale, and even then it'd only be about a tenner, extra caviare or HP Sauce 50p, makes yer blood boil..........

How true

Maybe if they made them transparent they could be used by the tourist industry in peacetime for underwater tours

We in Adelaide built the Collins Class Submarines costing Billions

The result

We have a submarine with the stealth capability of Motorhead Live due to the software & hardware basically being uncompatible-IDIOTS

cheers

I've just checked, and you know, yer right, all my Sellotape is that horrible yellowy colour, red would be much prettier and safety-conscious too, maybe it's only allowed for privileged civil servants, they even get to have decent pensions unlike me who'll only get 14p and a bag of gumdrops if I'm lucky, at least if I had the red tape I could sell it on street-corners for the price of some mushy peas, thankyou guv'nor, and get spat on by city brokers on their way to Quaglino's, and buy a new candle to heat me hovel cause I spent me Winter Allowance on gin and cat-food..........

There is a decommissioned Oberon class boat at the Chatham naval dockyard museum . Perfect day out , spend the AM Chav spotting , fry up in a local pub lunchtime , PM see how would get on the Andrew . This class of sub is a palace compared to WWII boats . Will the mods delete this as too serious reply ?

Apparently they are great weapons platforms, especiallly for valuable weapons of mass destruction(chemical, nukes), because the enemy dont know where they are. They are very expensive, but they keep the peace, most countries wouldnt dare attack the UK, because of the MAD(mutual assured destruction) principle, they know their cities would get nuked(and they would nuke us in return) A great idea until some maniac pushes the launch button. I should get out more, cheers.
