heres one for the legal eagles amongst you....

I have a stash of original DVDs I am looking to sell, now all have original covers and NONE are copies.
If I 'sealed' them so the reverse of the cover (with the naughty bits) can't be seen by minors, exposing ONLY the front cover with the 'tasteful bird' in a page 3 pose, am I able to sell them at say, a Car Boot Sale? Would I need a licence for selling porn, albeit, original porn?
I see CD's, videos (cert 18) and Playstaion Games - ALL original, at venues like Car Boot Sales or Market stalls, but never porn....apart from 'tame' top-shelf magazines
Where do I stand on this?

I think anything other than "18" rated dvds would be illegal mate, that's why you don't see much porn at car bootys as they always get pinched by trading standards, theres always someone who'll be offended, and the trading standards are out in force these days, after the snyde dvds, clothes etc.

I would imagine trading standards would give you some grief ace!, they are always around boot sales, looking for copies of dvd,s, cd,s, vids etc, and you can be sure they would check your stash, and if your selling porn of any description, they will probably confiscate it, then there,s the embarrasment factor!, you might be better off just selling ordinary dvd,s etc, and having a quiet word with some of your punters, as to wether they would 'like something for the weekend'....................... ahemmm!

I'm so envious Bimmercat. I've never been to a car boot sale where there were any firearms on offer. You are so lucky.

Yeah, selling porn other than from a sex shop is a no-no for any of those batty boys who are concerned about infringin' the law. But boot sales were one of the places we used to trade when we were 'Del Boys' in the early nineties - moody perfume, t-shirts, jeans and yes, porno vids. Yep, 6am Sunday and we'd set up the old pasting table before a grateful public. If perchance TS came round we'd chin the poncy fuckers and then sprint off sharpish. Ah, happy days...
