Saw a Double Glazing advert today with Mike Reid.
Now, who in their right mind would employ Mike to flog a product of some repute? He is typecast as a dodgy East End wide boy Spiv in anything I have seen of him in years.
If he played Frank Butcher on the ad, fair enough, its a giggle, ala 'Reg Holdsworth' character a few years ago, but he is HIMSELF!!!!! No mickey taking, he tries to be 'oh-so-sincere' with his ultra-white smile and Costa-Del-Sol tan.
Methinks sales will slump, I really do.
Its like George 'Arfur Daley' Cole flogging Car credit ads like Jim Davidson tries.............it don't give me much confidence, I can tell you!!
