I await Ewan McGregor's reaction. Better than Attack Of The Clones, though.

I was damn hoping for "(THE) DAWN OF TYRANNY or BIRTH/RISE OF THE EMPIRE.
I'll do my own film someday and call it any one of them 2? I just have 2 go to my local credit union and get a loan of $10 million and change.
Is Sith a joke?

Revenge of the Sith? A misspelling, surely.
Actually, it abbreviates to Star Wars: ROTS, which we?ve all known for years. Whatever happened to the better-sounding Birth of the Empire title that was floated a while ago? though the new title does echo ROTJ?s original moniker. Ewan McGregor?s reaction will be in absurd mock-Noel Coward tones from under what looks like Noel Edmund?s beard.

I'm old enough to remember after Return Of The Jedi, Emperor Ian McDiarmid claimed then that George would be making episodes 3, 2 and 1 in that order, starting with Emperor Of The Universe. Titles have never been beardie's strong point. Or dialogue for that matter.

On the plus side they can dispense with John Williams and get Neil Sedaka to do the music---"Sith will be our last song together."
Sorry. To quote Lizard, I'll get me coat.

Aint is sad that the original and the great 2 follows up have basically been wasted by these dross preludes. My personal opinion is that no matter how much CGI and big time actors they fling at these projects, they will never touch the magic or the feel of the first movies that were produced, coupled with that they were at least 15 years too late on starting with the project, It is basically like shooting a Western Series over 30 years, the small details seemlessly change to reflect the modern world ? where they should remain constant and have no reflect on the actual story, Westerns and War Films are deeply embedded in the 60s and 70s, Star Wars is 80?s and anything after that is deeply offensive and at the point of pointing the holywood finger at the dollar sign on all our tills.

Sequels or Prequels are equals at best and at worst eminently forgettable
I look at star wars, empire strikes back & return of the jedi as a trilogy
which are basically the best bits of the story put to film
but Once the Ewoks appeared you could see the writing on the wall

Yeah, then it became more about the toys than about telling a story.
I thought the Ewoks couldn't be more annoying. Then along came Mr Jar-Jar Binks.

Ain't that the truth in all respects
Never thought I'd live to see the day when animated charaters that belong in a cartoons start playing major roles in feature films
Then again when you consider some of the actors casted its explains the need
cheers
