just saw a glimpse of him on the news after the engineer left he looks very ill had 3 strokes i think its stupid really leaving him in prison after all this time.

They should have left him in Brazil.
The Sun "Newspaper" brought him back - they should be paying for his medical treatment now rather than us taxpayers.

As far as I,m aware Ronnie Biggs didn,t commit any act of violence against the train driver, but I see your point......

Its widely acknowledged that it WAS Ronnie Biggs who 'coshed the driver', but the driver died months after the incident, and NOT through injuries sustained after being coshed

Exactly, they should show some mercy on the poor bastard, he's not exactly going to be a danger to the public is he? Even Reggie Kray was released on compassionate grounds so why the fuck doesn't Ronnie Biggs qualify for the same treatment?
