See King Kongs co-star died today.....well into her 90's
Hardly said a word in the film, screamed non-stop........the worlds first porn star?

And she looked absolutely fantastic in it. It doesn't matter that her career never really took off---she was and remains an icon.
Oh, and she also appeared in another classic of the early 1930s, Mystery Of The Wax Museum.

It depends what you mean by "her career never took off".
She appeared in over 100 movies.

i read yrs ago that king kong was cut there was a bit where kong sniffed fays panties.

It would've been difficult to top King Kong for any actress, it being the Star Wars of its day. I imagine her autobiography of a few years back - the wittily-titled On The Other Hand - would shed more light on how she took it. That said, her piercing scream so impressed studio bosses it was dubbed onto other actresses on many occasions.

Yes, she did---but after King Kong she found herself in B movie land, and that was before she took time out for her family.
I watched King Kong recently, thinking I knew what to expect---but it had some nasty moments of violence from the large ape: casual killings that wouldn't have got past the censor a few years later.
Oh, and Mart---way to go with the panties-wearing Kong image!
