I agree with Jason, they're all robbing, thieving, lying, conniving bastards. Dunno about the shoe box tho! I keep mine in a coffee jar.
But I have got a nice "friendly" doggy & some of Mr Winchesters finest products.

I swear this is a true story. A bloke I know came into serious money when him and his Dad sold their electrical firm. He was/is Mr Ordinary in every sense; regular house, average car, the wife and three kids. While his Dad went out and bought a bigger house, a nice car and started living it up my mate went on as normal and even found another job.
He was so paranoid about banks ripping him off and was convinced that any form of investments were bound to fail that he kept his share of the business in CASH in the house......over ONE MILLION POUNDS and I've seen this beautiful sight with my own eyes.
They say truth is stranger than fiction!

I am with Barclays.
I am at a local branch and they are fantastic. All the counter staff remeber their customers, and lthe manager if I can catch him between bank football and golf competions is very helpful.
They know I am as thick as shit , and help me with all my forms and make sure I dont fuck up on stuff, so far I have been with them for three years and they have always come through.
So there you go something good to say about a bank.

Halifax have been fine for me, but I'm no judge on these things. When they started the Xtra campaign a few years ago with Howard & co. dancing away I thought 'Jesus Lord, what an embarrasment. They get slaughtered for this.' What it actually resulted in was applications for Halifax accounts going through the roof and the sort of PR other banks can only dream of.

I was with Nat West and then Abbey National, both total cunts when I had my 'problems' about 6 years ago. Only VISA were decent, and after paying back every penny of my 'silly' overdraft, I ditched them and now bank from a Building Society that are top notch.
I recently sold my house and the MASSIVE profit I made went to my account, and THEY advised me to put it into a higher interest non-penalty account. Last month, I got just under ?400 interest for having my cash just SIT there. I can transfer the funds tomorrow and won't get penalised at all.
My new mortgage will be with Halifax, VERY impressed with them after years with Northen Bastard Building society Bradford and Bingley..........cunts!!!
