I can't believe the magistrates are talking about prison for this case, what the fuck is that all about, they clearly need help, not locking up.

There was a case in the news in the UK this year where a boy raped his mother. The kid was very disturbed and actually got some real help which was supported by his mother, a much more realistic outcome than
'this is sick, bang 'em up'
sort of shite a la Daily Mail readership

I'll be honest with you, my first thoughts after reading the first few paragraphs were along the lines of 'chav scum taking it WAY too far' but then reading on you just think, these people are fcuked up and need help.

And as you say, what possible use would sending her to prison be? To act as a deterrent???

how come you pick up the west cumberland times & star, a local rag, I thought you were state side, do you have connections with west cumbria particularly maryport?

I live in maryport & know the person concerned. I can tell you that she fits the profile of a typical dole scrounger, doesn't work (too stressed out) & doesn't want to work, apart form having chav kids. she is the sort who you would not like as a next door neighbour, believe me.
I truly don't know what kind of sentence should be imposed, I don't think prison would have any effect on her (she would be ideal in the Bad Girl tv series), community service is a joke (particularly in maryport) & she certainly could not pay any fine, but the rule of law regarding incest must be upheld.

I have no connections with Maryport (never heard of it to be honest) and only found the story while looking through the Google News email I get.

Isn't this sort of thing compulsory in some Southern states?

I know in areas of Virgina they run roadside poster campaigns emblazoned with the words, 'Isn't she a little young?' to warn men against shagging underage girls.

Not sure if that's aimed at parents or the general population.
