It really does depend what make it is Magoo, some work fine and some will just bollocks up your machine, some of these cartridges actually contain a printer head which obviously will cunt up after a while unless they are replaced, and some have special ultra fine ink ? which will also clog the fucker up, maybe post your printer model number and some techie champ may help.

Considering you stole the printer in a smash and grab at Dixon's, it hardly warrants concern.

I neglected to post this link along with the printer problems link. Hope you find it helpful Magoo.
I always reinstall a cartridge when the message tells me its empty, amazing where the new ink miraclously comes from. I even got that tip broadcast on TV here in NZ.

I've refilled my canon bottom of the range el cheapo 3 times and its still printing OK
Always best to check with what the manufacturer says first
They'll either give you a sales spiel or solid facts

Always check that you have set the printer to Black nosey. If you don't it will use all 3 colours to print in Black.
I wish there was a default setting of Black on mine.
