I was looking at a title from jadedvideo on DVD and it costs approx. ?19.50-20.

Just wondering about customs tax on this? I read that anything over ?18 got taxed.

Does this happen to EVERYTHING on that price or is it your luck? and do you reckon they wouldtax for the sake of ?1.50-2?

Cheers for any help.

It's pot luck and depends on -

the value the sender puts on the label,

whether customs can be bothered if it's just over the limit,

if customs can be bothered, can the postman be bothered to colect it.

I've only been charged once when there were three DVDs in a large box.

I tend to order one or two items at a time. That's no guarantee of course, and two is just a compromise between paying extra postage and risking import duties.

Jaded post large orders in groups of 2 vids per packet, or singly, over a period of about a fortmight-3 weeks.
Of about 40 tapes received so far, I got spanked only once, for about ?18 on a 2-vid packet.
So, worth the risk. Added about ?1 per tape for my order.
