The other guy was too good! Not bad for a 17 year old.

Pity Paula didn't show the determination Amir showed, that way she would have endeared herself to us by finishing the race instead of quitting with several laps to go. Came across as 'I can't win, so Im not playing'....spoilt cow

Think your being a bit harsh
Most Marathon runners at some stage have hit the WALL between the 35-40 KM mark
I'd imagine the pain at 37kms would be a tad bit worse than round 1,2,3,4 against the Cuban wearing protective head gear
Marathons by their very nature are torture but your probably right about her being a spoilt cow
Big step up from the 10,000 metres to the Marathon
cheers

I was referring to the 10,000km race Buttsie. It was obvious she was 'spent' before the race, and I did admire her for entering, but she should have finished even a lowly 9th to shut critics up.
One point of interest, her resounding Marathon wins in Chicago, NY and London are all 'flat and even' surfaces.
Boston is VERY steep as is Athens, and she has never raced in Boston as she knows she can't handle the slopes.
She also returned to England early, she really should have stayed for the closing ceremony as did all our other atheletes.
Spoilt cow!!

My mistake...haven't seen the 10km race
I must say I found it strange to find out after the Marathon that she was entering the 10KM race...sounded like a big ask given the recovery needed from any Marathon is a little bit longer than a week
Thankfully there were others that shone brighter...kelly Holmes...Awesome
would be an understatement and lets not start on the 4 x 100 win over Uncle Sam
cheers
