XP warning.... IMPORTANT

Don't download the XP service pack 2... 1/10 pc's crash and you get the "Blue Screen Of Death" This can happen at any time during the boot up... I know as I got as far as my desk top loading... So...
Anyone here who I've had email contact with in the past... I've lost your address... Would you please send me any junk email so I can add you back in my address book...

Mine is working fine. The only problem I had was the new Windows Firewall clashing with McAfee. Turned off the Windows one and no problems at all.
Check for updates Joe , maybe the problem you found has already been sorted. Mine downloaded and installed itself automatically with no problems whatsoever

My computer keeps telling me, every fucking time i boot-up the computer, about the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Upgrade, my problem, i use shitty Dial-Up & with the estimated SP2 coming in @ 75Mb-220Mb, that's way too much time to spend for me in D/Ling.

I am sure Microsoft have an option for getting it posted to you on a CD. May be wrong but I got Service Pack 1 that way

If you go to the download site, you can request a cd to be sent to you free.I down loaded 2 ok and put it on me comp, no problem. But during the night windows downloaded and installed a NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Critical download, had to restart . FUCKED me up big time. Had to do a restore point from "Safe Mode" now up and running. Be warned though once on this little twat can only be removed with a disc formatt, and that's if it works.

PC magazines should all have SP2 available on the free CD/DVD that comes with the magazine for all those not able to download it.
I have installed onto 3 PCs and no problems except I had to re-install a USB hub on one of them. Stopped using Zone Alarm in favour of the Windows firewall.

i installed it a couple of days ago and have had half-a-dozen blue screens since. i'll be restoring my settings to sp1 tomorrow.
it seems to have a problem with zonealarm among other things. bloody annoying but then i should know better than to trust to microsoft's chequered history when it comes to beta testing any new release.
