Noel Gallagher's Rolls

The Brown 1978 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Alan McGee gave to Noel Gallagher 9 years ago is up for auction on ebay.
It is described as being in "good condition", but without a current mot. These cars don't go for a fortune, this one's worth 10k max, yet the bidding is up to 18k already with over 6 days to go.
Now, call me a cynic, but Gallagher's not what I'd call a legend, and it's a boring brown Shadow, not a Phantom or a Cloud, it seems beserk to pay so much over the odds. It will be interesting to see what the bidding finishes at.

Christ, someone obviously REALLY wants it. I saw one of John Bonham's old Ferraris for sale once...now THAT is something special!! Two great heritages intertwined.....
The Shadow is my favourite Rolls Royce, I love the classic shape and plush interior. You can find a good example, as you say, for Mondeo money and it's a pretty big bang for your buck!

Is this the one pictured in the pool on the dreadful Be Here Now album?
If it is, thats the reason its going for mega-bucks

Perhaps some chav who has won the lottery will buy it and get it re-upholstered in Burberry.
And wouldn't it be ironic if one day Dibble, on his uppers, was thumbing for a lift.

Well, there's 60 hours left and bids are now over 21K
It isn't even the same car as on the "Be Here Now" cd.....
Crazy!
