Provident are rip off merchants mate, always getting poxy leaflets through the door, there intrest rates are disgusting, still they seem to do a roaring trade in this area though! then again it's always in the local paper that the agents are being mugged.

Dont they charge 100% interest and target people on the dole and social.
Saw a TV program once where they go round peoples houses who cant get finance elsewhere and actually put a wad of notes on the table in front of them (one of their sales techniques) to persuade them to take a loan out.

Yes from what I've heard Michelle there intrest rates are disgusting, almost as bad as the local cash CONvertors buyback rates.

Do yourself a favour Steve, wipe yer arse on the application form and return it to them as I did once to another loan company, explaining to them what its REALLY like to recieve shit through the post.
Oh, ensure the form you return has NO name or reference number linking you to the grime, sorry, crime

Hi Michelle you are correct about the way they go about business. The sad thing is they were in the 50s and 60s a respectable company. Then there aim was to make small loans to poorer families to help them get over tough times e.g. buying school uniforms. Now the aim is the same but at rip of rates

Just another legal practice of praying on the vulnerable
Private Loan Companies able to afford adverts pitched at the vulnerable on TV without disclosing the interest rate says it all to me
Finance companies are little better with rates between 20-30%
Even Banks have their little dip with Credit Cards 10-20%
All this while official interest rates hover around 5%
In Australia we have the lowest Unemployment for decades & the lowest interest rates ever but pornbrokers(odffering loans against goods)are the fastest growing part of the economy.....you don't need to be einstein to figure out something ain't right
The divide between the haves & the have nots is growing at an alarming rate
Anybody interested in feeling safe on the streets should be alarmed
cheers
