Yes, I remember this gem, especially the intro where that dopey bastard scientist that drops the test tube taht releases the virus.

I can Imagine it being shown in the 1970's how people felt seeing it, Esp with the cold war etc.

Thanks for that Michelle. I remember it first time round on TV and I have the first 13 episodes on VHS. I have been trying to get the rest for yonks. You have made an old man very happy....lol

Created by the great Terry Nation, and touched on issues that were uncomfortable for the time.
Could be criticised as following the John Wyndham "cosy catastrophe" school of writing at times. But also had some harrowing moments.

Not as good as Survivors but quite a trailblazer.
I'm searching for a video release, I know it was out on VHS because I've got 2 episodes. There was a movie spinoff as well. Btw, does that still happen?
