i've read the book that this programme is obviously based on. the programme last night was fairly good and highlights a real problem of exploited eastern european women. i'm not so sure that the dramatisation of the situation, with it's obligatory nudity and rape scenes, was the best way to highlight the problem though. by dramatising it instead of just documenting it the viewer may have seen it as just entertainment and not really realised the full extent of the problem as regards these women being forced into prostitution.
